Ok, now it’s bad enough that Disneyland’s inaugural 1/2 Marathon has a Tinker Bell theme and I will not be able to attend (or run for that matter!) but now DisneyParks Blog has just announced that a new Disney Dooney & Bourke bags with the Tink design will also debut for the weekend! Torture, I tell ya! There aren’t too many details now, but here’s what we know so far:   It looks like there are three styles, all previously released – the Medium Tote will be $198, Letter Carrier will be $168 and Flap Wristlet will be $49. There are more pictures taken at the Walt Disney World parks and resorts worldwide than at any other vacation spot in the world. Millions of pictures a year are snapped at the “Happiest Place on Earth” and this is not counting the pictures taken by Disney’s own Photopass photographers’. With the advent of digital photography, only a little over 30 years after the invention of the original CCD sensor, pictures that were once only the domain of professional photographers equipped with high-end camera gear are now possible for the vacationer with a simple point-and-shoot digital camera.

Anyone else noticing a lot more Brazilian tourists at Walt Disney World these days? We certainly have. There’s a good reason for that, not only has the economy of Brazil stabilized producing more disposable income, but the volume of European tourists is down as their economy slowly crumbles. The in-balance makes the South American tourists stand out even more. Disney World has even gone as far as hiring 50 ‘Super Greeters’ to help these tour groups make their way into the parks smoothly.A spokesman for Disney World said 2011 has been “one of our best-ever years for…

As we saw with the 2011 holiday version of Magic, Memories, and You the digital projection nature of the show makes it relatively easy (there’s still a lot of creative work involved) for Disney to update the show for special themes. The next theme to be announced centers around the romance of Valentine’s Day and the Disney Princesses.Of course, there are differences between Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. Chiefly the project occurs on the facade of It’s A Small World instead of the castle. I love how this scene from Rapunzel will play out.Check out more beautiful concept art…

Sometimes you know when good things will happen, because you plan for them. Other times you are “seeing” the potential for the good things to happen. I’m going to Disneyland in a month, and this is a very good thing. My last vacation was in July, and sure that was only six months ago but as a student when you’re used to vacations every quarter, now working day after day at a “real person” job can get tiresome. You're going to read a lot today about how - by revising their long-standing policy on facial hair - Disney Parks and Resorts is now turning its back on nearly 60 years of tradition. Back in the day, actresses had to do more than just act. They had to learn how to walk, pose, smile, sing, dance...it was all part of the studio grooming system. Just look at Jane Wyman in this publicity shot for "Lucy Gallant." The perfectly turned toe...the head turned down at just the right angle. She paid attention and she went far. Even child star Shirley Temple had to make friends with the still camera. Fashionably decked out in this 1940's ensemble, Shirley was ready to put the moves on Cary Grant in "The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer." Despite the fact that her character was a drunk,…

From the Disneyland Line Newsletter of July 14, 1977 comes this interview with Harper Goff, with a great story of how a tree was acquired for The Jungle Cruise attraction. We learned and made decisions as we went along. Walt wanted to use the squid from the movie "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" in some sort of boat ride but it was in bad condition and the wires that pulled the tentacles would have been hard to hide. But we had both seen "The African Queen" and we began to think of hippos and other animals which could be operated without wires and still have animated elements. We brought in Bob…

At the turn of the century, The West Baden Springs Hotel in southern Indiana, was known as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Guests arrived from Chicago & Louisville by train at the very depot shown in vintage shot #1. The hotel and its grounds were also dubbed the Carlsbad of America, since guests could partake of the waters and cure themselves of all sorts of diseases, just like the mineral springs in Carlsbad, Germany. Carlsbad (or Karlsbad) is a German placename meaning "Charles's Spa," named after Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor (1316–1378). Seen in the background here, the centerpiece of…

The first time I saw the Mad Tea Party attraction with these frilly arches I assumed it had to be a shot from Walt Disney World, where 1970's overdone-psychedelic-design ran rampant. But no...it was definitely Disneyland. Somewhere between August 1968 and August 1969, these crazy little arches were added between the lightposts. Somehow, they just didn't seem to fit into Fantasyland's Festival Tournament theming. Instead, they…

Three images of one of the beloved lost areas of Disneyland, the parking lot. Two of the views show the lovely Matterhorn, a sight I remember as being magical and the sign that we had arrived at Disneyland. First up a shot of one of the couples with the Matterhorn in the background. Next up the two couples who had just enjoyed a day at the park walking back to their vehicles. Another shot of both couples with one of the gentleman holding ticket books in his pocket and his wife holding a 1959 Guidebook. They are standing in front of a Pontiac Station Wagon.
  • Prop Plaza Universal Studios Hollywood

    25 Jan 2012 | 9:17 am
Once upon a time at Universal Studios there was a prop plaza featuring large objects from Land of the Giants as well as vehicles you could pose in with a rolling screen and also styrofoam rocks you could pick up. It was a fun place to hang out and play, as well as many a souvenir photograph was taken at the site. First up is the Stagecoach with the scrim rolling behind it. Next up are a set of books featuring recent movies released by Universal. Such classics as Jaws, the Hindenburg and Earthquake. This photo was not loading initially, but it is a great image of the prop telephone.
  • "it's a small world"

    24 Jan 2012 | 7:20 am
A nice set of photographs featuring the front of "it's a small world." First up is the family posing in front of the sign. The little girl in the middle is using the built in sunglasses on her hat. Next up are images of the wonderful clock at the front of the attraction. This clock was designed by Rolly Crump and features a great kinetic parade.
  • Hot Fresh Popcorn 1958

    23 Jan 2012 | 6:28 am
Two color snapshots from 1958. First off the very good looking young man is posing in front of the Popcorn Wagon on Main Street. His girl friend is posing on the steps of Main Street Station. In the background is a light pole sign for the new Grand Canyon for the railroad and a large banner for Alice in Wonderland and the Columbia. Some close up images of the advertising.

    Blue Sky Disney

  • Blue Sky In Eleven (Part One)...

    27 Jan 2012 | 12:25 am
Slowly, we're back...Even though Blue Sky was quiet for the last part of the year, a lot still went on...The beginning of the year saw an eyesore from the Disneyland Resort's Second Gate disappear.I focused on what I thought was the true successor to Colonel Henry Walton, Jr., Ph.D.We started to get enlightened on what Shanghai Disneyland was going to become. This post offered a great interview with Glen Keane that focused on the difference between the Lamp and the Mouse.Blue Sky put some perspective on what to create a Disney theme park/not create a Disney theme park.Or this really great…
  • Buying An Empire...

    18 Jan 2012 | 4:14 pm
The Force will be with him, always...Yes, this will be another one of those posts...George Lucas gave an interview with the New York Times where he talked about how he is done with the commercial part of his career. Even producer Rick McCallum commented on it saying: "Once this is finished, he's done everything he's ever wanted to do," Imagine that, to have accomplished all your goals in life. Not many people can say that. But if we are to believe him, it brings up that question I always wondered. Will he take Lucasfilm public, sell all, or part of the company? There is plenty of reason to…
  • Contemporary By Design...

    10 Jan 2012 | 9:46 am
Now let's do something about the last hotel...If you've been to the Disneyland Resort lately, you've seen all that construction...Not just in the parks, but around the entire resort. And one of those projects that is about to end is the renovation/makeover of the Disneyland Hotel. After almost three years, the hotel is in the final stages of turning itself into an actual Disney Hotel. I know for some that might sound confusing, but those of us that remember, know that it wasn't even owned by the Mouse till 1989.That's when Jack Wrather's company was bought by Disney, simply to own the hotel.

I just wanted to thank all those that have commented...Both private and in the comments section, people have really said embarrassingly nice things about me.While I can't promise the site will be back up to normal publishing, it will slowly start to have more new content. So please be patient. And thanks again for the warm thoughts. It means a lot...

    6 Jan 2012 | 10:18 am
Sorry for the silence, guys...But life has to take preference over some things, and unfortunately, I've had to deal with some of those things. While they're not over, they have gotten to a point where I will be able to handle posting.Next week, post will begin slowly. While I can't promise that they'll be back up to normal levels for a while, they will begin again. And for those that have asked if the blog is dead, I hope this answers it...

  • Disneyland Guidebook - Summer/Fall 1979

    27 Jan 2012 | 8:13 am
Please excuse the lack of posts this week, I’ve been on Jury Duty all week; let me tell you all about it… Oh wait, it’s not over yet!  Moving ahead 10 years from Monday’s post, here is the entire Summer/Fall 1979 Disneyland Guide Book. I’ll post the PDF version this weekend.
  • Disneyland Guide Book - Summer 1969

    23 Jan 2012 | 2:01 am
Looking back at my last post of a May 1969 Disneyland Ticket book I realized I forgot something, the Guide Book of course!  This post contains the entire Summer '69 Disneyland Guide Book, you can also download the PDF version here  - Summer '69 Guide Book - 36MB
  • "15 Adventures in Disneyland" Junior Ticket Book - May 1969

    20 Jan 2012 | 2:01 am
This ticket book has been sitting on the top of my keyboard for months, I figured its finally time to post it.  From May 1969.  This book is naturally missing its Main Gate admission ticket but there's plenty of lettered tickets left to look at.Shown in alphabetical order, A through E:The Haunted Mansion wont open for a few more months, but boy the park sure had a lot of amazing attractions to chose from. The Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln ticket gets its own special color of Globe Safety Paper.
  • United Air Lines Advertisement - 1965

    18 Jan 2012 | 2:01 am
This great two page United Air Lines advertisement is from an unknown magazine although the advertisements on the reverse sides are dated 1965.  The World's Fair balloons look fun. Those dogs are riding in style!Creme Puff by Max Factor, dress by C. Capriotti Designs, Inc.
  • AAA News 1982 & Discover Hollywood 2011

    16 Jan 2012 | 2:01 am
Welcome to Magazine Monday.  Today's we've got two magazines for the price of one!  Neither is very good so maybe together they will make one decent post (don't count on it).First up from February 1982 its the Auto Club News.  Nice cover photo of the Main Street station, why you'd almost think there was a nice Disneyland article within. No great article here, just some park info and a savings program!Interesting how in the early 80's this girl was considered "cute", by today's standards she's in need of a plastic surgeon!Up next we violate the "its vintage if the year…

  • Anything Goes Saturday - The Matterhorn

    28 Jan 2012 | 2:01 am
We all love the Matterhorn, with its thrilling bobsled ride, and the memories of the Skyway passing through it. But hey! there is another Matterhorn! Who knew! It's located in the Pennine Alps between Italy and Switzerland. This one doesn't have any crazy rides, but I guess I like it anyway. Here are a couple of photos circa 1955, in glorious Kodachrome.Isn't that totally boss? I believe that this photo was taken from the nearby Gornergrat, which affords visitors a spectacular view of its neighbor, when the weather cooperates (it was completely clouded over when I went years ago). If there…
  • Tomorrowland, April 29 1956

    27 Jan 2012 | 2:01 am
I hope today's photos make you as happy as they make me! Of all of the "lands", the pre-1959 Tomorrowland fascinates me the most. So much of Tomorrowland's history is poory documented, leaving us only with intriguing titles like "The World Beneath Us", "Space Station X-1", and the "Color Gallery" (though one or two photos have sprung up to whet my appetite even more). This first picture was taken from the entrance to Tomorrowland; swivel your head to the left and there was Circarama, the pre-cursor to "Circlevision 360". The first film shown in this format was "A Tour of the West", and as far…
  • New York World's Fair Assortment

    26 Jan 2012 | 2:01 am
It's time for another visit to the Fair! This must have been quite a sight for weary New Yorkers on their daily commutes - the gleaming World's Fair buildings, in all their strange futuristic shapes. Imagine it at night, too! And even though the Fair was only there for about 18 months (with a 6 month winter hiatus), people probably got used to the view and didn't even notice it any more. It's human nature! From the "moon roof" of the Eastman Kodak pavilion (see it here) comes this view looking sort of south and west; to our left you can see the square top of the "House of Japan". The Austrian…
  • It's A Small World, June 1968

    25 Jan 2012 | 2:01 am
Here are four more photos from somebody who really loved "It's a Small World"! When you are one of the Three Little Pigs, you are used to adoration and stardom. It just comes with the territory. Which piggy is this? The "Piper Pig"? Or the "Fiddler Pig"? Either way, that young girl is thrilled! Meanwhile, check out the guy who has completely unbuttoned his shirt. Thank goodness for t-shirts! I'll bet he wishes he had a cold can of Pabst Blue Ribbon. The Big Bad Wolf has mellowed since 1933. Now he loves kids, especially when they are fricasseed. The older of the two boys notices that the wolf…
  • Souvenir Dungeon - Kibbles and Bits

    24 Jan 2012 | 2:01 am
Here are some oddball Disneyland souvenirs that you might enjoy taking a look at! They don't have to be ultra rare to be fun.Hey looky, it's a li'l plastic Mark Twain in a li'l plastic bottle! It's resting on a blue marshmallow blob. This cheesy item is probably from the late 1960's or the 1970's; it was cheap, and I really like it! (The glued-on end of the bottle says "Walt Disney Productions" on it, in case you were wondering).Months ago I posted photos of some metal "tip trays" featuring Main Street vehicles. Here's another one that I just got, with the lovable and infrugable Omnibus.I…

Disneyland has introduced a new restaurant and bakery - the Jolly Holiday Bakery. This is more of a reimagining of Blue Ribbon Bakery that had been located on Main Street for many many years. The bakery portion is still there at the new location. They offer a variety of sweets, treats, and espresso beverages, which I did [...]

The wind was blowing constantly during the first show sending water towards MFW/SSS/etc nearly horizontally at times. I love CHEESEBURGERS. When I die and they cut me open to find out why, they're only going to find two things ... CHEESE and BURGERS! (ok, credit for that line goes to George Foreman). So, where do you get the very best cheeseburgers inside and outside Disneyland? In my completely impartial and unbiased opinion (ha), here are my favorites... 1. In-N-Out - This goes without saying. If DCA had put in one of these instead of a McDonalds, it would still be there. 2. Bob's Big Boy Double-Decker - One of my favorites, but I'm sure there are others that wouldn't agree. Can't be good for you, just…

  • Hope for Hand Drawn Animation: Minkyu Lee's "Adam and Dog" trailer

    10 Jan 2012 | 1:51 pm
Traditional character/hand-drawn animator (and current Disney visdev artist) Minkyu Lee has been working on a personal film over the past two years, a short that from the looks of the footage I've seen proves it's possible for beautiful and polished work to be achieved by a very small number of individuals, if the people involved--and especially the person in charge--has the chops to pull it off.Obviously Minkyu Lee does. This has the look of what we tend to call "classical animation". By the way, Minkyu painted all the backgrounds himself. There are only 6 key animators listed in his…

This is a repost of one of my earliest entries, shortly after I began this blog in 2005. I think it suits the season and so merits an encore. This is the front of the Disney Studio's 1955 Christmas card.  It's quite a beautifully done thing; printed on a soft, high-quality paper, it's a large card that opens into a double-spread of the brand-spanking-new Disneyland, with a calendar running down the sides.  I was unable to scan the entire thing, as it's just a bit longer than my scanner is.  Great artwork--I don't know whose...anyone have any ideas?May your fifty-years-on…

Many folks hear “Disney” and immediately think of Dumbo, oppressive heat, or waiting in lines all day. But one of our many goals here at the Disney Food Blog is to show another side of Disney — the side that includes yummy eats, relaxing restaurants, indulgent drinks, and even a few sophisticated wines! Here are four that we found had ties to the Disney name…would love to hear of others, or to hear your…

Over the past few years, Italy has become one of my favorite countries in Epcot. They have the best pizza in Disney World, a little tiny canal to remind me of wandering around Venice, a fun mask painter, and, of course, gelato. View from Italy The little gelato stand in Italy is easy to walk by without noticing. It looks like several other plain kiosks in Epcot — the ones that sell coffee and those ubiquitous cookies and pastries (which aren’t bad, but they don’t hold a candle to what I’m about to show you). But when you get a little closer and check out the menu,…

Portobello's beautiful exterior With so many amazing dining options at Walt Disney World, and for most visitors, a limited amount of days to enjoy them, it can be difficult to experience them all. I will admit that even as a local, it’s easy to pass by some restaurants and just go with what you’re used to. Our family dinner at Portobello last weekend is proof that it’s important to branch out – you may get pleasantly surprised by the delicious creations that lay in wait. It was a bit chilly the night we arrived for our 6:30 reservation, and the first thing my…

SeaWorld knows how to keep little ones entertained and with the recent announcement of the PreSchool Pass getting kids under 5 in for free, along with the Just for Kids concerts below, there is no reason not to check out the park’s offerings. We were recently invited to check out the Lazytown concert, which I loved because my two older kids grew up watching Lazytown. The show itself was a fun little overview of what Lazytown is all about – getting kids to eat healthy; “sports candy” or fruit and veggies vs. junk food, and exercise vs. sitting around. The show was…

  • Holy Cow, That Was Bad! My Top Five Worst Disney Foods.

    Christina Wood
    27 Jan 2012 | 8:00 am
Looks good, but how does it taste?I love Disney food and often find myself defending it to non-fans, but not everything is worthy of praise. Case in point, these five culprits.1. Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel at the Lunching Pad in the Magic Kingdom. At $4.29, this pretzel is a good use of your snack credit. Unfortunately, that's where the praise ends. These tasteless, leaden pretzels should be taken out during the Electrical Water Pageant and umceremoniously dumped into the Seven Seas Lagoon.2. The Caesar Salad with Chicken from Pinocchio Village Haus in the Magic Kingdom. Think you can't mess…
  • Restaurant Review: 50s Prime Time Cafe.

Stepping in from the hot Florida sun into 50s Prime Time Cafe is like stepping into your grandmother's living room, if your grandmother's house was decorated in a fun, 50s-style kitsch. Black and white televisions playing old favorites, formica, pinks, blues, and 50s futuristic touches, this restaurant is nostalgic fun for anyone, whether you lived through that era or just watched it on Nick at Night.Fun waiting area/living room with 50s touches.Your server here will call herself "mom" or perhaps "cousin" or even "uncle," but they'll all have one thing in common: Making sure you mind your…

The kids clubs at Walt Disney World are a great way to give yourself a little bit of grown up time during a busy vacation. Maybe you want a quiet dinner at a more upscale restaurant or just want to go on some rides the kids are too young for?  Whatever the reason, Disney's kids' clubs are a great way to carve out a little bit of time for  yourself.  We've used the Neverland Club before and it was a huge hit, but in December we were staying at Boardwalk and planning on eating at Yacht Club, so we wanted something a little closer, so chose the Sandcastle…

When you check into your Disney resort, you'll be given the option of having your credit or debit card added to your room key (known as your Key to the World card or KTTW), but should you do it?  Here's what adding your card offers:Convenience.  Your tickets,* money, dining plan credits, and room key are all on one card. When you pay your server at a sit-down restaurant, he can easily add your tip to the card. If you're on the dining plan and you use your debit card (to pay for the tip and extras like appetizers and items not on the plan) and your room key, there's an…

The iconic Grand Floridian is just one resort that offers club level serviceSpend enough time in the Disney universe (you know, at the parks, on Disney message boards, in chat rooms with other Disney fans, etc.), and you'll hear a lot of chatter about “club level” at Disney resorts. There are lots of questions – What is it? What do I get with it? Is it available at all resorts? Does it cost a lot? And, there are an equal number of comments, on both sides of the fence, so it's hard to wrap your head around all of it. Club level is Disney's version of concierge. While a number of hotels…

At the end of the 1930s, the Disney Studios fantastic successes with Mickey Mouse and the classic animated Movie, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” began to wane. War clouds were gathering over Europe and the kind of comic relief Mickey and the Silly Symphonies gave the depression-weary country was lost over the impeding fear of a global war. After the war started in September, 1939, the mood was even sourer. In addition, the release of Pinocchio on February 2, 1940 hoped to be as successful as Snow White, was not. The long anticipated “Fantasia” released on November, 13, 1940 was…

January 13 – Beauty and the Beast in 3D – Not much to say about this, except that it is probably the best hand drawn animated film ever, and it did get nominated for Best Picture.  The addition of 3D did wonders for the box office of The Lion King, and I’d expect the same here.  This will be a…

by James Breach Ok well welcome back folks! I know its been a long old while since I last blogged (3 months!) and for that I apologise, however I started a new job and it was a 3 month training course, followed by very unsociable hours! Therefore this shall be a bumper edition, with double magical moments. Lol Now if any of you have amazing memories you may remember that when I last left you, I had just received my confirmation that I had been accepted onto the Graduate Programme and enticed you all with the promise of an excited pixie dust filled day at the American Embassy (yeah right!).

  • 10 Great Things About the Disneyland Hotel

    Tammy Whiting
    27 Jan 2012 | 12:00 pm
Having just stayed at the Disneyland Hotel in November, I thought it was time for a blog about it!  Now that the 2-year renovation is pretty much complete, a blog about it seems even timelier.  If it’s been a while since you’ve visited the Disneyland Hotel, it’s time for another visit! I really like the Disneyland Hotel.  It may not be my favorite hotel at Disneyland (that distinction would definitely go to the Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa—which I wrote about here as my favorite Disney hotel anywhere bar none), but I always enjoy the Disneyland Hotel.  It’s…
  • Walt Disney World Attractions to Skip?!

    Tom Bricker
    27 Jan 2012 | 9:17 am
I love efficiency. I love Disney theme parks. Logic would dictate that using a Touring Plan would perfectly combine these two interests of mine, right? Up until we began testing Optimized Touring Plans, I didn’t really use the plans much at Walt Disney World. This is because I find myself liking a somewhat odd selection of attractions, the full cross-section of which isn’t available in the Unofficial Guide or in TouringPlans.com’s Premium Touring Plans. This is why I’ve become fond of the Optimized Touring Plans. I can input all of my peculiar preferences and have it…

The Crowd Calendar is one of our more popular products at TouringPlans.com and we put a lot of time and effort into developing and maintaining it. The fun part is trying to think of ways to enhance it for our readers. So we thought, why not ask directly from the people who use it the most? What enhancements would you like to see to the crowd calendar? Here are some of our ideas, what do you think? Include other parks like Universal, Legoland or Magic Mountain Include the Water Parks Include more details about special events Add the dates of hotel discounts (past and future) Add weather…

It’s not typical practice for me to talk about my trips in great detail on the Touring Plans blog. I usually leave that for my personal blog. However, I’d like to tell you briefly about my solo trip and how it all turned out since so many of you took the time to write in and give your solo trip tips. Wow! Say that ten times fast. Solo trip tips! Solo trip tips! The four and a half days that I spent alone at Disney World undoubtedly changed me for the better. The race through Walt Disney World, continued from last week… 7:00 am The Sun has begun to rise, and the scene is gorgeous. I start to cry a bit as I realize where I am. I’m about to cross under the “Underwater Bridge” that connects Bay Lake with the Seven Seas Lagoon. The early sunshine is glinting off of Space Mountain and the Contemporary. For the past year I’ve joked with Cheryl about running right here on this very spot. I take a few pictures and then prepare to head underwater by holding my nose, something my father used to have me do at this spot. Moments later an arm…

  • 1/27/12 - Movies at the Resorts

    DizAdmin
    28 Jan 2012 | 12:01 am
When we go to Disney World one of the free activities that the kids like to do at the Beach Club is good down to the beach and watch movies. You read that right watch a movie on the beach. At these movies you can purchase the items to make Smores! How fun is that? Pull up your beach chair and tell me have you ever done the movie night at the resort you stay at when on Walt Disney World property? Did you even know that Disney offers a movie night? Would you try this on one of your future trips or would it interfere with your park touring?

On a side note, I will probably archive this thread in the next few weeks, so it does get confusing when you are searching for a topic. Back to our topic! Kim Possible!! :party0006: Our girls love Kim Possible Missions at Epcot. If you do not know what it is, they are missions that you get a "cell" like phone at kiosks around the World Showcase. You must give your park ticket to a Kim Possible agent at these kiosks and they will give you a ticket with a time and a place…

Do you rent points? If you rent points who do you use or do you rent through someone you know? Or do you put everything together yourself? Do you wait to get a pin code or a discount and call Disney when you see a package you like? What works for you?

I think Steve has left us for good. Boooo!! I did not see this topic listed, so if it is a repeat please forgive me. I have read some Tweets from people in the past few days about people wanting Disney to add a fifth park to Disney World. If the decision was left up to you, what kind of park would YOU add to Walt Disney World? Would it be a villains theme? Or would you want to see a “Sea World” type of park? Maybe a park that is dedicated to one particular movie? Let your imaginations run wild! :scratchchin:

  • What to do on a Non-Park Day at Walt Disney World

    Kristen K.
    10 Dec 2011 | 12:09 pm
When I was a young girl and my family would visit Walt Disney World, we always kept to a specific schedule that went like this Park Day/Rest Day/Park Day/Rest Day.  It was pretty easy way back the, when there was first just the Magic Kingdom, and then in 1982 there was Epcot to enjoy as well.  These days, with so many other exciting options available on your Walt Disney World Vacation, it’s easy to forget how important it can be to take a rest day. For my family a rest day doesn’t mean, “do nothing”, although just lying in a hammock on the beach is a definite possibility. For us a…
